Measure "B"

Measure B is a local initiative designed to support and enhance infrastructure and public safety within the City of Colusa. The measure imposes a modest sales tax increase, with the additional revenue earmarked specifically for critical services such as street repairs and maintenance, tree canopy maintenance, local park facility improvements and maintenance, as well as public safety services.

 To ensure transparency and accountability, Measure B includes provisions for a Citizens Oversight Committee. This committee is composed of local residents who volunteer their time to monitor and review the expenditure of the funds generated by the measure. The committee is tasked with providing regular reports to the city council and the public, detailing how the funds are being used and ensuring that the spending aligns with the intended purposes outlined in the measure. This oversight mechanism helps to build community trust and ensures that the additional tax revenue is spent efficiently and effectively to benefit the residents of Colusa.
