Planning & Building Department
The Planning Division provides pre-development assistance and processes applications for land use permits, development projects, subdivisions, and conducts environmental review consistent with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
The merged Planning and Building Inspection Department is located at City Hall and staffed by a Director of Community Services who fulfills the role of Chief Planner, a Chief Building Inspector, and a Building Inspector I.
The Department is guided by a Planning Commission comprised of five volunteer commissioners who meet monthly or otherwise as needed to review projects and Development Agreements.
